Our Rollers and Wrigglers accompanied classes are a great way to engage with your child where their natural tendencies will be enhanced, and their sense of discovery will be encouraged in our exciting environment. Rollers are for infants from 6 to 12 months and Wrigglers are for little ones from 12 to 18 months with classes being 1 hour and 1.5 hour respectively, taught in English with a Mandarin Specialist, with the flexibility to join from 1 to 5 days per week.
Our 2 hour accompanied Playgroup classes are for children who are 18 to 28 months of age who are ready to explore their environment with an ever-increasing independence. Taking advantage of a child’s rapid language development at this age, our classes are taught in English with a Mandarin Specialist. With flexible day options to suit your routine, you can choose from 5, 3 or 2 days per week.
Our Stepping Stones is the first of our unaccompanied classes for children from 24 to 36 months of age, offered as a 3-hour programme for 5 days a week. Children will be taught in English with Environmental Mandarin together with a mix of intentional teaching and purposeful play, the children will experience a programme built around their physical, language and social-emotional development.
Pre-School classes are for children from 2 years and 8 months, and are offered in English, Mandarin or Bilingual where children learn through the Montessori approach from a mix of intentional teaching and child-initiated activities in a vibrant language-rich environment. Children can attend a morning or afternoon session with the option to attend both, which is very popular with our older pre-school children as they prepare for primary school.
The Prep for Primary learning outcomes are mapped to the English National Curriculum Framework and children are regularly assessed against these outcomes. This full-day programme builds on the skills developed in Pre-School, exposing the children to ever more complex learning in a supportive and collaborative environment. This programme is taught in English with a Mandarin Specialist.
Our bus routes serve most areas of Hong Kong Island.

At Woodland Montessori Academy, clubs run for 60 to 90 minutes after morning Pre-School Classes at 12.30pm. Every day there is a sport or creative programme to choose from. We also offer more academic based classes at 3.30pm every day. These are a great opportunity for our older Pre-schoolers to practise core language and Math skills in a fun environment.

Ms. Laura Venezia, Head of School
“The first experiences of school lay the foundation for a child’s education. Children should be given every opportunity to thrive in their environment. Our approach to teaching and learning is to honour the image of the child-seeing them as capable, competent, co-creators of their own learning. I look forward to working with our amazing team of educators and families to create a community of collaboration here at Woodland.”
We encourage parents to join us at the many events we organise throughout the year, from cultural festivals to Sports Days, Charity fundraisers and celebrations.
