Thomas Fairclough moved to Hong Kong with his family, joining Woodland Pre-Schools in early 2020 having spent the previous 3 years at our fellow Cognita school in Singapore – Stamford American International School. A love of the outdoors and the extra-curriculars is channeled by his adventurous spirit, which has led Thomas to dedicate his career to providing young children with opportunities to explore and develop new interests, deepening their social and intellectual growth, and gaining an understanding and appreciation for the natural world around them.
Dan Hicks has been an educator with Woodland Pre-schools for over 5 years, having initially joined the school teaching at the Mid-Levels campus. During his time as Education Lead, Dan has helped lead and implement innovative curriculum enhancements, including our play-based inquiry approach and the protective behaviours programme. Dan believes that knowledgeable early years educators are important for the future of society and that we cannot teach our children the same way we were taught when we were in school. He also believes that leaving comfort zones and being curious about uncertainty helps both adults and children continue to learn.
Michelle Choi has taught in a variety of educational settings, from public to private sectors and local to international schools in Hong Kong.
