The Ladybird class at Woodland Sai Kung worked on their first mini-project – Yummy Yummy. They explored different types of food and discussed inquiry questions such as “Where does food come from?” “Why do we have to eat healthy food?” and “What does food do to our bodies?”
We focused on two important concepts:
– Be Mindful of what we eat, promote healthy eating and maintain good health and sleep
– Be grateful for what we have, learn to cherish food and not waste them
The children had a wonderful time making healthy food in the kitchen.
