The children at our Sai Kung campus are learning about gardening. This fun activity extends their learning beyond the traditional classroom by allowing the children to venture outdoors. Gardening provides children with hands-on learning opportunities which help their perceptual, motor and physical development. This sensory activity also increases children’s awareness of their environment and contributes to their learning about the lifecycle of plants. Through this activity, they learn how to solve problems as they figure out ways to pry away rocks and clear rubble and are exposed to maths through counting how many seeds they sow and how far apart.
Children can learn so much in a small little patch of land!
